A new patent, a new solution designed to meet a specific market need: this is how Elettra was born, one of Celli’s main innovations at Agritechnica 2019.
Elettra is a machine designed for the preparation of the ground cultivated with pineapple, which periodically is necessary to free from the bulky existing plants before proceeding to a new plant; all without leaving too coarse residues, in which pests can grow that represent a very strong problem in the countries of Central America.
For this reason, in close collaboration with the institutions of Costa Rica and after a long series of field studies and tests carried out on site by Celli technicians, the company patented a solution based on a system with two integrated rotors: the first eradicates the plants, while the second is able to finely shred large masses. In a single step, two different types of processing are thus obtained, allowing a considerable saving of time (and resources) compared to the machines currently used for this purpose.
Moreover, an advantage not insignificant, this combined processing avoids the proliferation of different parasites, some of which can also lead to production blocking; all without resorting to herbicides or chemical products, in compliance with organic farming.
