The GR 190 is a spading machine suitable for tractors up to 190 HP, ideal for use in large areas. The features of this product are quite unique and there are no comparable machines available nowadays. Fitted with robust, hydraulically operated rear rippers, it can penetrate very effectively into the soil, to reach the compacted layers in depth. In this way the problem of hard pan can be eliminated and an appropriate deep circulation of water re-established. A very important point is that these implements, in spite of the considerable working depth, are easy to pull and therefore can be operated in very wet conditions and on steep land. Erosion problems can be also reduced thanks to the ideal size of the clods left.

Many improvements have been introduced in this latest version of the GR 190:

  • The frame has been redesigned to achieve higher rigidity with less risks of soil build-up (310 and 350 versions).
  • The side plates and all the safety guards have been modified to make them more efficient during work.
  • New accessories like the hydraulic adjustment of the front wheels are now available.

The GR 190 is fully oil lubricated so that time-consuming daily greasing is no longer necessary. The crankshaft is particularly robust and well tested. The maximum working depth is 40+20 cm.

The concept

Spading machines are tillage equipment largely appreciated in several working conditions and applications, such as:

  • to work without any problem in extremely wet soil.
  • to work up to a maximum working depth of 40 cm (60 cm models with rear sub-soilers).
  • to remove the bottom soil hardpan.
  • to partially lay underground crop residues without throwing the clods back completely.
  • to limit soil erosion and also the wash away of light and steeply sloping soil, because the tilled soil is composed of medium size clods.
  • Also it require low traction power thus it efficiently absorbs the tractor power.

Technical specifications

Reinforced frame
In order to secure long life to the crank-mechanism, the frame which holds it must be extremely rigid and well designed. Our frames are machined after the welding, thus allowing an accurate control of the specifications which must be compliant to our design.

Very rigid crank mechanism
The crank-shaft, which drives the spades, is the heart of the spading machine. Each crank is coupled with a thick multi-splines shaft which guarantees the rigidity.

Special features to prevent soil jamming
The technical specifications of the machines have been taken into consideration the need to prevent soil jamming, especially in extremely wet or heavy conditions.

Double layer tillage (GR model)
GR model cannot be matched by any machine from competition: it allows
to till the soil up to 60 cm thanks to rear rippers which are hydraulically controlled. The traction strain is reduced to the minimum because the first 40 cm layer of the soil is tilled by the spades.

Oil cooling kit (optional)
It avoids oil overheating when working conditions are difficult, therefore it extend the life time of the transmission components.

Oil lubrication
All models suitable for tractors over 70 HP (Z90, G190 and GR190) are completely oil lubricated (both central gearbox and crank-drive mechanism).
This assures that the moving parts last longer because better lubricated than with standard grease lubrication system, and also allowing shorter labour maintenance (from daily check for grease lubrication to check every 50/60 working hours.

Thrust sealing to protect crank bearings (Z90, G190 and GR190)
Thrust sealing are usually used in crawlers of the industrial machines, and are composed of steel rings rotating each other and thus creating a vacuum which is water and dust proof.
