The Fresa concept

Fresa machines have been designed for soil tilling, mechanical weeding or processing hard soil directly. Blades are mounted on the rotor that can be square or curved, and the ends can be turned towards the inside or outside of the machine. All tillers are equipped with a series of side skids.

The Frangor concept

The Frangor machines have been designed for optimal seedbed preparation. Their structure is the same as that of rotary tillers (fixed or folding), on which tooth rotors (standard) or straight tines (on request) are mounted. The special rear tailgates, which are used to contain and level the ground are the main features of Frangor machines. Rear rollers are also fitted on the machines for final ground surface leveling and compacting. Gearboxes are equipped with gears that ensure high rotation speeds (normally higher than 300 rpm).

Very rigid structure. One of the most important technical characteristics of all Celli machines is their robust and sturdy structure, which does not alter over the years, guaranteeing the support needed for transmission parts. All the tilling machines in the Celli range are equipped with double box frames made of thick sheet metal, reinforced by a square section front tube and supported by sturdy connecting crossbars with 3-point hitches.

Rear tailgate for tiller (fan)

This is an element that consists of a thick single metal sheet with a hinge at one edge and that includes a machine frame. The rear tailgates have been designed for optimal soil leveling. Critical factors, in this case, are the profile (shape), stiffness and weight.

Settings

3 different control systems are available for the Celli range (depending on the individual machine):

  1. Traditional chain adjustment (simple and low-cost)
  2. With screw and spring shock absorber (fast and reliable, work very well on machines with high working widths, where the weight of the fans can make their adjustment difficult).
  3. Hydraulic system with jacks (very fast and reliable, allows the operator to intervene consistently in relation to soil conditions)

This is an articulated device composed of two flat elements hinged to each other in the middle, so as to create a large volume inside it, allowing the soil remain there for a long time for better refinement. Proper adjustment also facilitates soil leveling.

Side gearboxes

3-point hitches with oscillating lower arms: they allow the machine to better follow the terrain profile, allowing it to pass over any obstacles and avoid damaging collisions.

Quality rotor blade holders

They are constructed using thick pipes to which high quality steel flanges are welded. They are optimized based on the automatic welding cycles performed as the best compromise between material hardness and impact resistance. Two types of tilling rotors are available: with end hoes facing inside and outside. In addition, square and curved blades can be mounted.

They are optimized based on the automatic welding cycles performed as the best compromise between material hardness and impact resistance. Two different types of Frangor rotors are available: toothed or straight tine. Toothed rotors are versatile and work well in dry, hard and wet soil conditions. Stones pose no threat and this rotor normally guarantees lower power absorption, compared to a straight tine rotor. The rotor with straight tines is recommended when the maximum soil refinement is necessary. Works best in dry soil conditions. When choosing a Frangor machine equipped with a straight tine rotor, power requirements must always be taken into consideration in order to avoid an excessive working width.

Optimal power consumption

The shape of the rotor blade holder, assembly sequence of the respective tools, blades and teeth/tines, as well as their technical features, help reduce power absorption and vibration, allowing the machine to run smoothly.

Seals are used to protect the rotor bearings

Commonly used in earthwork machines' tracks, they are steel watertight seals that prevent entry of even dust. A very well-known fact is that the bearings which support the rotors in horizontal axis soil tilling machines are critical components, as they must operate with heavy loads in the most difficult conditions. Celli has always protected rotor bearings with seals used in the earthwork machinery sector. These seals are made up of two steel disks rotating against each other without the slightest particle of dust or water entering the bearing housing. This seal system has proven its effectiveness in thousands of units that have been operating in rice fields for years.

"HC" concept (high clearance)

This concept identifies machines that have been designed with ample space between the frame and the work parts (blades or tines or teeth). The maximum volume in the working area under the machine is guaranteed, thus avoiding the risk of clogging that can be created by working on heavy soil or with the presence of abundant crop residue. This arrangement obtains high feed rates and greater working depths, resulting in high hourly productivity. The TIGER models apply this concept in their design.

Versatility

Versatile rotary tiller use

Versatility is this product’s main feature. It operates smoothly both in heavy soil conditions and in hard and dry terrain. The various adjustments and design features available allow fast adaptation to extreme operating conditions.

Versatility of use, Frangor machines

Machines equipped with toothed rotors can work in dry, hard and wet conditions without any risk of clogging. Stones present no threat to these machines and they guarantee a good degree of soil refinement with reduced power absorption.

Flexibility. The machines can be converted into Frangor machine versions to prepare seedbeds by replacing the rotor and gears and mounting a rear roller. Special fans (or tailgates) are also mounted on Frangor machine versions in the machine’s original state.
Gearbox oil cooling kit (on request). A main gearbox oil cooling system is available on a number of models in the Celli product range. This is a particularly useful accessory when the equipment is used for long periods of time in harsh conditions. The presence of an oil filter guarantees the elimination of impurities during the breaking-in phase, which lengthens the life of bearings and gears.
Fast deployment and setting. Hydraulic setting kits are available for all the machines. This applies to both tailgates and rollers. The machine can be set in a few seconds without interrupting operation and without getting off the tractor.
